AProf Chiam Peak Chi­ang, Geri­atric Psychiatry

The National Psy­chi­a­try Pro­gram is an all-rounded and com­pre­hen­sive pro­gram, tai­lored to train you for a career in Psychiatry.

You will be rotated through the Insti­tute of Men­tal Health and all the Psy­cho­log­i­cal Med­i­cine Depart­ments in the TTSH, SGH, CGH, NUH, KTPH and KKH where you will par­tic­i­pate in didac­tics and learn to man­age, under super­vi­sion, a wide range of patients, both in terms of diag­noses and age groups.

You will be trained by a fac­ulty com­pris­ing of teach­ers who have been spe­cially trained in their respec­tive areas of gen­eral psy­chi­a­try, child and ado­les­cent psy­chi­a­try, geri­atric psy­chi­a­try, foren­sic psy­chi­a­try, addic­tion med­i­cine, emer­gency psy­chi­a­try, con­sul­ta­tion liai­son psy­chi­a­try and psy­chother­apy . Elec­tives in eat­ing dis­or­ders and women’s men­tal health will also be offered.
